College and Other Matters

Wed Oct 14, 2009, 5:56 PM
Yay for starting Freshman year of college ^^ I've been super pumped for starting college for like...over a year xD and now I'm here. Classes have been going well and I've been finding time to write and such (and I've finally been able to upload something xD;; ). I've also joined a few clubs, the Anime, Murder Mystery and Fencing ones that they have over here.

So over the summer I got some work done on Diaries, but I've seen been too lazy/ uninspired to continue with it; hopefully I'll renew the creative spark for it, but that won't happen anytime soon. Now I'm working on a new project which I have titled now, Flight of the Empress. If I ever get my writing up to a publishable state, I would release this one further down the road. The story itself will give much insight to another realm that is seperate but connected to the realm where Becca's story takes place. The realm in question is where Embronites, a race of naturally gifted elementists, dwell. So hopefully I'll be to stick with this idea until the end xD;;

On another related writing note, I am considering partaking in the NaNoWriMo, though I don't have an idea of what I could possibly write for it. Flight and Diaries are good example of stuff I'm doing that will NOT be completed within the span of a month. In other words I have a hard time with writing concise plots xD; I have a vague idea of a shortish story I may write for it, but I'm just not sure at the moment, so we shall see.

Anywho, that's all for me, take care all.

Dark Clouds Ahead

Sun May 17, 2009, 4:33 PM
I'll be putting Diaries on an indefinite hold...to work on a darker set of stories. I should have a sample of a darker work of mine within the next week or so, depending on how much time I can spare. More than likely most of what I'll be submitting will warrant a mature label ^^;; so yeah.

So why the dark mood? I've really come to appreciate the elements of tragedy and overall dark writings. So I'd like to be able to freely incorporate them into my own stories. Currently I think I get too attached to the characters I create and give them unrealistic lucky streaks; just a way for me to bust out of that mind set.

Expect the summer to be full of dark poems and stories. As soon as graduation passes, I'll be working non-stop at it (at least that's what I'm planning). Less than 20 school days until then and a long summer ahead, since Western doesn't open its door until late September XD So plenty of time to be productive (or not).

Catch you all later.

I am so undisciplined XD

Mon Mar 23, 2009, 11:00 PM
Alright, so I found out my problem: I am interested in writing too many of my ideas at once. If I don't satisfy an interest,I can't focus on the project at hand >.< I love how my mind works when it forms ideas for me seemingly from nothing, but it honestly can be grateful gift to unforgivable curse in frustrating flat...I don't think that botched engine analogy worked too well XD

So I wanted to work on this one tangent project from Diaries and somewhere along the way, I got an idea for how I wanted to start this idea for an epic war novel and just had to start writing the first pages of that. And because of a certain character I introduced in those first few pages, I am now back to writing Becca's story...this time the first chapter of the Second Part xD So yeah, no discipline whatsoever. I can totally see myself having the first four chapters done of like 10 different novel ideas before I declare my major in my junior year of college rather than a single actual novel. So that's my problem: too many ideas, so little attention span >.< .

In other news, Sakura-con! Less than three weeks away and I am getting so pumped! smile.dk is going to be there for a concert, so I am really looking forward to seeing them live ^^ I also will be cosplaying as my favorite Fire Emblem mage ever, Soren, and I can't wait to get my costume in the mail. If only my hair didn't grow so damn slow...oh well, I have the bangs for him at least. (I might even upload a few of the pictures from the con up here -shrugs- ). So aside from the concerts, I looking most forward to spending possible 400 dollars (of my parents' money) in the marketplace xD OH! and the artist alley. Since last year, I am hooked on the place! So many arts, so little space in my albums.

So yes. I am excited for all the novel ideas I want to get started on writing, and with spring break coming up, I might just be able to either get a lot of those set into a slow motion or actually finish a chapter of something and get it uploaded. Am also excited for Sakura-con ^^ Whoo~!

In my defense....

George R.R. Martin has inspired me in the ways of third person perspective narrative xD That will perhaps make more sense when I upload the next prose piece...and hint hint, it's not going to be the next chapter in Diaries xD;;;

Also I did say there would be poems, so there they are and two in one day! Aren't you all proud of me? I'll have the next chapter in Diaries done soon enough, but I need to take care of this little tangent project of mine, but I think you'll all like it...I hope. So please look forward to it ^^

If nothing gets uploaded, blame DDR for stealing my soul and Sakura-con for having tourneys each year.

So...

Tue Feb 17, 2009, 5:35 PM
Expect more poems, cause I'm bound to get into the mood to write more...despite it being so deplorable. Also I'm currently working on getting the fourth chapter done, so expect that to be done with into the next week or so.

I ask a favor of any artists that somehow stumble upon this little place of mine (I don't get many visitors...), I've always like to see how people perceive my characters...so, "fan"-art anyone? xD Call it something to preoccupy your time if you happen to be bored or have nothing better to do. Also it'd let me know if I'm providing good enough descriptions of my characters >.> personally, I don't think I've done enough of it...but it's the first draft, so I have plenty of time.
